In 2004 I started my first church with no systems or processes, just a vision from God.  I mean, that was all I needed.  So, I thought.  During the first few years, I struggled long and hard, with very little growth and minimal impact.   I thought to myself; it must be more.  In about 2007, I happened upon a church planting organization called the Association of Related Churches (ARC) that opened my eyes to why we were stuck. I followed their advice, and in no time, the church went from about 35 to 150.  I was excited and hopeful.  But we plateaued again.  I realized we had more significant problems that would require an even much more aggressive approach to fix the culture and the systems problems that lead us to where we were. After prayer, counsel from several trusted voices, and clear direction from God, I closed the doors with plans to plant a church a year later from the ground up.  With the tools and experience I learned through my church planting experience with the Association of Related Churches, I am happy to say that the new church plant launched in Savannah, GA, in 2014 is alive and well.  I have not only grown our current church to over 500 in regular attendance, but I have also had the privilege of coaching and helping another pastor’s plant healthy life-giving churches over the past few years.  I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to reach people and grow.  We’ve grown from a launch team of 35 on day one to over 500 in the past seven years, and two of those years were during a global pandemic (COVID).

Whether the church has plateaued or is multiplying, every church is a few strategic steps away from reaching the next level. I have partnered with churches of all sizes and shapes and in different growing seasons, and I have never found a church that couldn’t experience even healthier and more sustained growth. Every church faces barriers and complexities that hold them back. Lift Churches exist to identify those and give you the tools to overcome those obstacles and get to the next level.

Our passion is to walk alongside pastors and churches by giving them strategic systems and operational solutions that work. Instead of speaking in theories and ideas, we will drill down into the nuts and bolts of ministry and give you the practical steps to help you succeed.

I wholeheartedly believe in the value of the local church, and I believe that it is God’s will that His church grows and that his local houses be full.  

​Lift Churches was a God idea that came to me.  I planned to build on God’s idea and years later use it as a tool to coach churches once our church broke 1000 in regular attendance.  I felt I had to wait until we became this massive organization for anyone to want to hear from me.  But you know what?  It was at that moment, God had me pause and think about the dozens of pastors and hundreds of leaders I have inspired, influenced, and impacted over the years.  The Holy Spirit was clear in that I needed to share and provide guidance now.   It was clear that part of my assignment in ministry, based on what I had already achieved was something anyone can do and easily aspire to.  We are not too big and not too small. Close enough for them to achieve the same results in no time with the proper guidance.
